From the Accounting Menu choose Year End Processing --> Create T4A Slips
When the T4A Submission form opens, select the taxation year in question from the drop down and then tab off the field.

- A list of agents who received commission in the chosen year will populate in the grid below.
- A warning message will pop up to give you a list of agents who have missing required T4A information such as Addresses, Business Numbers and Social Insurance Numbers.
If there are agents that have missing information, you must update the Agent’s Contact Profile with either the SIN or Business number before you can proceed with T4A submissions.

- You can open the Agent’s contact profile through the action menu on the line on the grid.

Once the Contact is open

- Click on the Relationship tab and Filter To brokerage to update addresses and SINs

- Click on the Accounting tab and open their Commission/General account to update their Business number
Once the Agent’s information is updated, update the Payer, Contact, and Transmitter Tab with any information that didn’t auto populate.

- All of this information is sent to Revenue Canada with your submission.
- See the Revenue Canada website if you would like more information on how to complete these fields.
Once all the appropriate fields have been filled out, SAVE the submission form.
- Required Fields –
- Business Number and
- Transmitter Account Number and/or Transmitter RepID
Business Number: this is your Payroll number so the number should end in RP0001

As of Taxation Year 2024
Transmitter number is NO longer a requirement for generating and filing T4 XMLs.
New Requirements
- Transmitter account number
- Transmitter RepID
Enter 1 of the 2 fields OR both.

- Required up to 15 alphanumeric (if signed in using My business account (MyBA) or Web access code (WAC))
- Transmitter CRA Account Number

- Required (if logged in using Represent a client (RAC) application
- Transmitter RepID (Representative Identifier)
Adjustments
If there are any adjustments that need to be made to any of the agent’s T4A slips enter the amounts in the Adjustments column and save the form.
Printing All T4A Slips and the T4A Summary
You can print your T4A Slips and Summary from the Printer Icon at the top of the form.
Save and Attach the both the T4A Slips and Summary to the submission form using the Save and Attach Icon on the reports when they are
They will appear on the Files Tab
Printing Individual Slips
To print an individual agent’s slip or to see the deals associated with a specifics agent’s T4A, click in the Action column.

- Choose Print if you want to print an individual T4A slip.
- Choose T4A – 20?? Agent Name to see a list of deals associated with that agent’s slip.
Submitting To Revenue Canada – ONLINE
Once slips and summary have been printed and all of the information is to your satisfaction, you can now submit it to Revenue Canada.

- Click on the Actions button at the top of the form and click the Lock to lock it in & Save
- Click on the Actions button at the top of the form and choose Export To XML
Save the File to a directory on your computer
Login to you My Business Account OR your Representative account on the Revenue Canada website.

- Follow the instructions on that website for XML submission
Once submitted the Revenue Canada website should give you a confirmation number; enter it on the Submission Tab and save the form.
Attach the XML File to the Submission form by hitting New File files the XML file in your directory and attaching it to the Submission form.
